These are the Most Debated Cities in the World
Some people love them, some people hate them.
Earlier, we published a consensus set of rankings of the "best" cities in the world, as aggregated from 22 different sets of "best cities" lists evaluating global cities by vibrancy, livability, and beauty, among other factors.
While some cities - among them London, Paris, Singapore, and Sydney - carry consensus among urban experts as among the best cities in the world, others hold reputations that are not so clear cut. These are the cities with the most variable and debated opinions in the eyes of urban critics - cities that some experts love, and others do not.
Among these most controversial of cities are those that are good for tourism but not for other things, and others who are the deign of questionable governments.
